What are the Symptoms of Depression?
Different people can experience the symptoms of depression differently.
You may be suffering from depression if you experience five or more of these symptoms every day for two weeks or longer.
The signs and symptoms of depression are:
- Feeling sad or anxious
- Feeling angry and irritable
- Feeling guilty or worthlessness
- Feeling tired or fatigued
- Losing interest in hobbies and things that you enjoyed
- Having difficulty in concentration
- Losing appetite or overeating
- Having difficulty falling asleep or oversleeping
- Having suicidal thoughts

What are the Causes of Depression?
The possible causes of depression can be due to:
- Having a family medical history of depression
- Stress
- Brain chemistry change
- Other medical conditions
- Change in Hormone levels
- Substance abuse
- Trama
- Adversity in life
What are the Different Types of Depression?
1. Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
Major depressive disorder (MDD) is characterized by having a constant feeling of hopelessness, sadness, and worthlessness that don't go away by itself.
2. Post-natal Depression
Both males and females could be affected by this depression triggered by the burdens of caring for their newborn.
3. Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar disorder (formerly called manic-depressive illness or manic depression) causes unusual shifts in mood, concentration, activity levels, and ability to carry out day-to-day tasks.
4. Persistent Depressive Disorder
This depression is a mild to moderate chronic depression. The most effective treatment combines medication, counselling, and a healthy lifestyle.
5. Situational Depression
Situational depression or adjustment disorder is brought on by specific events or situations in a person's life.

The counseling fee is charged as follows:
- Individual 1h session: $216
- Subsequent 0.5h individual session: $108
- Individual 1.5h session: $324
- Couple 1h session: $237.60
- Couple additional 0.5h session: $118.80
All fees are inclusive of GST
